About Sharyn

A lifelong passion for horses has taken me around the world.  Growing up in a non-horse family I have had to learn everything myself with trial and error learning and determination helping me to get where I am today.

I worked as a yearling preparer for Lindsay Park Stud and other thoroughbred breeders all while studying Horse Husbandry and Management at the University of Adelaides' Roseworthy Agricultural College.  I also taught riding at a Californian summer camp, before travelling to the UK where I worked as a groom for a family eventing team.

I then became a trainee veterinary nurse at one of the UK’s largest equine hospitals in the south of the country.  I am now a fully qualified veterinary nurse specialising in horses.

I've continued working in the equine veterinary field in Australia for the past 15 years, developing a passion for improving the safety of everyone in the industry, from the horses right through to the vets.

Working with my own horse led to my discovery of Equitation Science, which uses the fundamental principles of how horses learn.  It's helped my own confidence and safety grow in both riding and our four-legged friends.

I'm dedicated to improving and passionate about giving you the tools and knowledge to make your riding and handling experiences the best and safest they can be
